Your Not Alone On This Journey

We understand that starting anything new can be daunting. For many people, that first step into a new gym fills them with fear; will I look out of place, will everyone know I'm new, will I know what to do? These are all totally normal questions and you should not feel ashamed to think like this, but rest assured, none of this will happen.

You will be assigned an experienced member of our team who will be on hand to support you through these early months of your membership. Too many people start at the gym, filled with enthusiasm and hope, only to give up because they had no one to help them.

As much as finding time to exercise can be tough at the start, you need to try to embrace the journey and enjoy the process of keeping active. A goal, such as a weight-loss target, can be great to get you started but it won't keep you going beyond this. This new member journey we have mapped out for you has plenty of hidden rewards, which will help you celebrate small successes over your first 90 days at the Club and help you stay motivated. We like to call these "bright spots", as they highlight the progress you are making.

Every new member at Active247 gets access to their own personal Success Dashboard. This is your central resource from courses you’ve subscribed to, forms you’ve completed and habit or progress metrics you might be tracking with one of our coaches.

To get you started, we populate the Success Dashboard for every new member with some key resources to help you get started at the gym. These include a Beginners Guide to Gym, How To Choose A Personal Trainer and our Terminology Guide, which helps to demystify some of the common gym and nutrition lingo.
